IRC-003 - Randomized trial of combination antivirals vs. Tamiflu for influenza

Population: Immunocompromised (eg HIV) outpatient with diagnosed influenza infection
Brief Description: Randomized double-blind Phase 2 study comparing the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of combination antivirals (amantadine, ribavirin, oseltamavir) VS. oseltamavir for the treatment of influenza
Eligibility: Positive rapid flu test (or PCR), influnza-like illness of <72 hrs duration, underlying condition which increases risk of complications from flu, creat clearance >50, NO AZT/ddI/d4T, not pregnant
Duration: 2 weeks
